Many of our clients are self-funding, but we also provide care services for clients who are referred to us by Medway Council, and by Kent County Council. We know it can be difficult to navigate the maze of funding options available.
Publicly funded care isn’t available for everyone and we do our best to keep our private care fees manageable and competitive, whilst maintaining a service that we can be proud of. The cost of day to day home care and live-in care may not be as prohibitive as you think - call us for current rates. We are pleased to recommend Care Funding Guidance, a free advice service for self-funders. Call their friendly team on 0800 055 6225 or visit their website http://www.carefc.co.uk/
If you are eligible for public funding, this will usually mean that the local authority will pay our invoice on your behalf. Sometimes the local authority or government agency will pay an allowance direct to you, so that you can choose and pay for your own care provider. Whether day-to-day home care visits, or full time live-in care, a full assessment will be conducted before a decision can be made on eligibility.
Home care after discharge from hospital is usually covered in Medway by the Home First service, in conjunction with Medway Community Healthcare. We are an approved provider for this service which is designed to support patients until they are fully recuperated after illness or surgery in hospital. There is no charge to clients for this service, but it is for a limited period; care beyond the assessed requirement will be paid for either by an other funding stream or privately.
Our office team are pretty clued up on funding, and will be very happy to help you find what’s available according to your circumstances. A call to us could be just what you need to get started on the funding pathway.
